Loved this! Such great questions you posed for when jealousy arrises. A friend just sent me pics of eating at a new Mexican restaurant in London and I felt a jealousy pang, but when I reflected on your questions and really listened, I realised it isn't jealousy it is actually just that I miss him and miss having dinners with him in London. Much nicer to realise that! Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant piece LD ๐ฅฐ๐ฅณWonderful insight on the jealous trigger that lies within us all. Love your redirection of your mind & language around such feelings & how we all can be more self aware & leave ourselves in a much brighter position! Iโm very lucky to have found you LD - youโre a wonderful human & friend ๐ฅณ๐ & thrilled we can have fun & chats about life & notebooks & all sorts ๐คฃ I do love a good notebook me ๐คฃ

I loved this! Listened while I pitted sour cherries to freeze (on my to-do list this WHOLE week; finally got to it).
The insight about reframing "I'm so jealous" into what you actually mean: yes. From my own experience growing up, I learned to constantly reframe what I did and said for the benefit of the people around to me, which for years I didn't recognize as an issue, until I left that environment and I suddenly could not communicate, least of all what I wanted. What do you want? is a huge terrain for some of usโlet alone saying it!

I was jealous of a chum who was in Ireland on a 3 month cookery course. I went to visit and she was so incredibly happy and I realised it would be way too intense for me. Not jealous now, just happy for her x
